About this app

Polar Clock is a lightweight, easy-to-use app, designed to help with the setup and polar alignment of an equatorial mount. It displays Polaris' hour angle, local, sidereal and UTC time and GPS coordinates. It provides additional help to Orion/SkyWatcher mount users by placing the Polaris in a virtual polar scope.

No option for iOptron SkyGuider Pro. I appreciate it's other features, but a tad frustrating the clocks available aren't for SGP users. Update: I've determined after a few alignments, this is roughly good enough for Sky Guider Pro. The first few likely were user problems, and I will take responsibility for reviewing without more data. It still would be nice to have an option for SGP clocks, but if for a free app, I determined that I cannot complain.

Hello Atley, I am sorry the app is not as useful as you might like. The app description clearly mentions support for SkyWatcher/Orion mounts only. I always consider user feedback for updates and features and would appreciate such feedback as email.

This application is great and very simple to use. If possible, can you add an option of adding location manually by writing coordinates. That would be a great help. Some locations cannot be precisely picked up by dropping pin. Power to you.👍

As other users have commented, it's simple, no frills, does what you need with no problems. It offers a choice of two reticles for the position of Polaris, one for the Skywatcher Polar Scope, and a straightforward list of numerical data. Download and installation are quick. No ads, either.
