Very good and simple app. Furthermore the dev is really dedicated to feedbacks ! In terms of ideas of "improvement" : Would be great if we could have something that allows us the mark as read a news and a way to sort the news to see only the ones not already read :) In addition, it would be nice to have the possibility to see the text from top to bottom (vertical layout). TLDR; Do as I did, pay the premium version. It is worth it (even if the free one is enough) always a pleasure to support

not bad, but furigana can't be turned off with single button tap and also furigana can't be made smaller in settings. also, there is no dictionary integration, i have to copy and share unknown words, that's very cumbersome. otherwise, good experience. alas, sync for nhk news app is dead :-( it was ideal, this app is not yet there (but close)

Lovely new user interface, looks attractive (with dark-mode supported), and functions well. It has the same familiar features and settings as the previous app and posts a new batch of articles daily - with date of upload under the title. Dictionary works fine, but a bit slow to load definitions (to work around it: tap for translation, exit translation, keep reading, and come back a few seconds later for the translation help). Audio-reader works well. New quiz section at end of article.
