About this game

My Boy! is a super fast and full-featured emulator to run GameBoy Advance games on Android devices, from very low-end phones to modern tablets. It emulates nearly all aspects of the real hardware, including linking devices for multiplayer games.

Highlights:
• Super fast emulation, thanks to the JIT recompiler.
• Very high game compatibility. Run nearly all games without a problem.
• Link cable emulation either on the same device, or across devices over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
• Gyroscope/tilt/solar sensor and rumble emulation through your Android's hardware sensors and vibrator!
• Enter multilined GameShark/ActionReplay/CodeBreaker cheat codes and enable/disable them on the fly while the game is running.
• High-level BIOS emulation. No BIOS file needed.
• IPS/UPS ROM patching
• OpenGL rendering backend, as well as normal rendering on devices without a GPU.
• Cool video filters through the support of GLSL shaders.
• Fast-forward to skip long stories, as well as slow down games to get past a level you cannot in normal speed.
• Save games at any time with screenshot
• Sync saves with Google Drive. Play and save games on one device and continue on the others!
• On-screen keypad (multi-touch requires Android 2.0 or later), as well as shortcut buttons such as load/save.
• A screen layout editor, with which you can define the position and size for each of the on-screen controls, as well as for the game video.
• Clean & simple yet well-designed user interface. Seamlessly integrated with the latest Android.
• Create and switch to different screen-layout and key-mapping profiles.
• Create shortcuts to easily launch your favorite games from your desktop.

No games are included in this app and you need to obtain yours in a legal way. Place them onto your device storage and you are good to go.

THE BEST. I have used many emulators over the past 10+ years and My Boy! has been by my side since the beginning. It STILL gets updates, even after all these years. I find that it never bugs out on me, unlike other emulators. RetroArch may have more features, but the QUALITY of My Boy! and the low resources it uses are unmatched. People complaining about silly things like not being able to find files. MAYBE YOU SHOULD LOOK IN THE SETTINGS. There's an open folder button that does exactly that.

For some reason, ever since I updated the app, it keeps showing up as an app running in the background, when I run my background task killer app to free up RAM, even though I almost never use this app. It just starts running by itself for some reason. It was a good emulator all these years, but I think I'll uninstall it since I don't appreciate that it keeps opening itself in the background in my task manager.

Four-star simply because it's a cool tool... It's not perfect. I've switched four phones since I've had this emulator. My friend bought me this emulator for my birthday. I play pokémon games on it a lot. when transferring to a cell phone, it is a challenge to find files. my games are still in the saved spot where they were. in one cell phone it was saved in my photos....weird? The files wind up wherever it's convenient perhaps. It is better than all other emulators I've downloaded most.
