Worked well, now its just slow and rubbish Update to the review I left a few months ago. If I could give zero stars, I would! its that bad. Won't bother using it anymore, its a joke. Quicker to fill up, go into store, have a wonder round, and queue up to pay. Payment authorisation is hit-and-miss at best. Well done Esso, you've saved a few pennies on PayPal fees, and customers are now left with this rubbish.

The app no longer supports app payments for fuel using visa debit card. The previous version of the app allowed you to pay without going into the store and it was really helpful. All this one does is keep track of your nectar points and tell you were your nearest esso station is. I've tried customer services and there appears to be no solution.

The perfect example of enshittification. The previous version was a bit old fashioned but worked fine. Esso removed access for a week while they "refreshed" it. Now it's clunky. often (~1 in 3) doesn't work because it can't find the location or can't validate payment even though it's the same card every time. And you have to exit the app to approve each purchase in your banking app. Finally it's now lost all my purchase history and with it all the cumulative "benefits" for using it. Avoid
