Worked flawlessly in the beginning(day one) app works everytime I use for paying from my phone/scanning QR code at pump. Was only able to pay with my vechicle's Sync Application fay one only. This feature doesn't work anymore. Always says timed out eck internet connection. Wi-fi works just fine, afterall synv is able to open the app on my cell when selected.
I made 3 purchases with this app, but it wasn't easy. First time, downloaded. & installed at the pump. I added my card information, scanned the QR code, and it worked great. 2nd time, it used GPS to recognize my location & I just picked the pump number and worked fine again. The next few attempts the app kept telling me that I was currently fueling, but I wasnt. I finally removed and reinstalled the app, and was able to get gas, but it is not showing up in my history. I want my Amazon Card
When it works, which is most of the time, it's awesome (5 stars). Unfortunately, it fails enough (maybe 10% of attempts) that it needs programmer attention. There's no pattern of failure--not by place or time. This app has to know its location and needs to respond quickly for a gas purchase transaction. If these issues can be fixed and the app made more reliable, I would gladly give it 5 stars.
When it works, It's ok. More times it doesn't scan the bar code on the pump and get a lot of error messages to try to use the app later. Also the history doesn't show you your payments, only your charges, you have to go to the web site to see it. Also even though it is sponsored by Citi, you can't link this card to other Citi cards on their app, so you can see all your cards at once.
Update: yet another failure at a gas station. From my point of view this is significantly less reliable than the old fob. This app needs more reliability or a better back up for when it doesn't work. And it's still very slow. WHEN it works, it's fine although slow. Too often it fails when you get to the gas station. After months of use, still prefer the dongle.
This app has worked perfectly every time. For people having problems, make sure your data is on and your location is on. I've never had a problem with it yet. I've been using it for a few months. Even got my 2000 points! :-)
