I subscribed to this app because I mistakenly thought Many Saints of Newark was going to be a series like The Sopranos, but it was a single movie, and not that good. Additionally, the streaming is terrible. Several movies were not watched to the end because of the shear frustration of having to reset the movie, or waiting far too long for it to restart again after it froze up. I cancelled my subscription after only one month. Such a disappointment.

Glitchy, slow loading speeds (when it does decide to load, that is) and remarkably inconsistent basic functionality makes the user feel like HBO hates you for having the audacity to want to stream their content. Would love for HBO to put some energy into actually streamlining the app, as opposed to dedicating time toward commenting useless canned responses here with the same old, "Have you tried turning it off and then back on again?" bit. Content selection is good otherwise - when it works.

Works fine on my android phone. The problem is when I try to steam while connected to Android Auto. Can't hear audio unless I open another streaming app, usually Netflix, then toggle back. Only with Android Auto and HBO. I have end USB connection, BTW. Works fine with the Bluetooth. I just can't enjoy it with AA. Can anyone recommend a solution? I checked settings on the app and on my phone. I'm stumped.
