On the Loecsen website, learning progress is saved and the learning path is personalized.
With this app, the content can be downloaded and used offline.

What you will learn

The app teaches essential words and phrases, organized by common situations, such as:



Essentials, Conversation, Looking for someone, Time, Parting, Bar, Restaurant, Taxi, Transportation, Hotel, Beach, Family, Feelings, Learning, Colours, Numbers, In case of trouble.



The expressions are not literal translations.
They correspond to expressions commonly used in each language, based on professional linguistic work.



This app can be used as a first step before continuing learning on Loecsen.com, where progress is tracked and adapted to the learner.



Offline learning

After download, the app can be used without an internet connection.



If the device has very little available storage, the app may close after launch.
Freeing up storage space may solve this issue.

Ratings and reviews

I think its a good start, especially since there are not many apps out there to learn Finnish, but it could be more interactive with different ways to identify words, quiz yourself, goals and rewards, etc. there needs to be more varieties of ways to learn and practice and definitely needs a lot more words and phrases. its useful for what I need right now though.

It's easy to use, offered daily conversation, and will be really useful for tourist. On top of that, it's free. But it can't be use as single source for language learning obviously.

I have found this app very useful when travelling to various places and needing a few phrases in order to do the basics (use transport, order food and drink etc.). There are some languages where the syntax isn't always apparent, as there is no grammatical explanation behind the phrases and it would also be useful if, in the travel section, "Sun City" was replaced with a more appropriate destination; the audio download is very useful as it means the app can be used when data is unavailable.
