Perfect! Connects the internet to your desktop PC from your android device. Free unlimited internet on your PC! Use your phone at the same time. Want more? Use WIFI share and it uses your PC's wireless adapter and turns it into a wifi hotspot for all of your other devices! Want more? Yes - you can connect a wireless router to your PC using a standard ethernet cable. Plug one end into your PC. The other end into your wireless router's WAN port. In Network and Sharing Center go to Change Adapter Settings. Then just share your PDANet Adapter with LAN. WOW! Now your wireless adapter has internet - and you have a true Wifi Router sending Wifi to all of your devices. I just did it. I have unlimited internet on my phone, PC, wireless router, Amazon Fire TV, Kindle, PlayStation.... and plenty of access left for any future wifi devices or guests in my home. Sounds complicated - but saves me about $750 a year on cable broadband. If you want to run a VPN to make everything encrypted and anonymous - just use IBVPN for Android and pay $5 a month. It runs on your phone and makes the phone, your PC, and your entire network invisible.
Best app ever spent money for Been using for years. Difficult to get broadband except by satellite. Unlimited data for my original Motorola Droid. Uses Bluetooth for tablet since the old Droid isn't hotspot capable. I believe $15 for app no monthly fee. Fee to tether was $30 a month at the time. Four - six years at $30 a month equals big bucks still in my pocket. New: Verizon killed the hotspot for my HTC with an upgrade. Tethered using USB port my computer works as a hotspot though range is short. The way my house is constructed makes using farther than the next room spotty. The option is listed as beta works well though I have a feeling Verizon has a way to force close the app if you use a lot of data.
It connects but gets throttled 1.36DL/.02UL/322Ping (I thought it bypassed carrier) and I can only find 1 site to speed test the connection (about 10 other attempts use too much data it disconnects trial version before test done) so how do I test the speed and block the carrier Metro?
This app works almost perfectly but it does have a few quirks. For instance if you have auto connect turned on and you plug your phone in, it connects even if you already have network connectivity, which hurts network performance and overrides intranet and VPN access. The worst part of this app though is that the company is terrible at support and hasn't really updated it in years.
Enabled hotspot on LG! Has saved me tons of times! I -really- love this app. When I was going to download it, I was in doubt since most apps for hotspot have failed me before but once I gave it a try it was GREAT! It has enabled the hotspot on my LG tribute 2 that was not ever possible before and has saved me from not being able to reach deadlines. Approved by me!
GREAT APP!!! I love this app. It's extremely useful. I don't have to use it often (which is good, because tethering apps shouldn't be used a lot. That increases the risk of carriers discovering the tethering- NO MATTER WHAT APP YOU'RE USING). My phone is updated to Marshmallow 6.0, so rooting isn't an option. Not a problem, thanks to PdaNet+. This app connects easily through USB or bluetooth, and with the paid version, the connection is uninterrupted for as long as you're tethering. This app is easy to use, and I've never had any issues with it crashing. As of now, my carrier has not discovered the tethering, and I would strongly recommend this app to anyone who needs internet connection on the go when WIFI isn't available. This app is totally worth paying for- Thank you folks at PdaNet+!! :)
