[What is Smart Sign?]
Smart Sign is a security service that stores certificates in the cloud through a smartphone and uses them when authentication is required, such as certificate login or financial transactions.

▶ Certificates saved in HSM (Hardware Security Module) are not copied to other storage media such as PC or USB for security reasons.
▶ It cannot be used with budget phones or prepaid phones.
▶ It is a “security token” and can be used on all sites that require a certificate.

[Smart Sign User Guide]
① To use smart sign on PC internet banking or public institution sites, you must install a PC program. (Download: smsign.co.kr)

② Smart Sign is provided as an additional service by the telecommunication company you subscribe to.
*Usage fee: KRW 990 per month_Communication charges combined
*Cancellation inquiry: Customer Center (1644-5128) or cancellation within the Smart Sign App

[Smart Sign main functions]
① Certificate management
- You can delete the issued certificate.
- You can check the validity period of the certificate.

② Copy and save to the certificate cloud (HSM)
- You can copy and save the certificate on your PC or USB to the cloud (HSM).
- You can copy and save the certificate on the smartphone SD card to the cloud (HSM).

③ Electronic signature (Internet, identity verification)
- If you need an electronic signature on your PC (bank/government office, etc.), you can use the certificate in the cloud (HSM) by entering your mobile phone number.
- It is more secure because it uses a fingerprint (FIDO) or PIN rather than a certificate password.
- During the final authentication, you must check again with your smartphone and you will not be able to complete the final authentication.

[App access permission information]
Based on the Information and Communications Network Act for user protection related to smartphone app access rights, Smart Sign only accesses items absolutely necessary for the service, and the details are as follows.

- Required permissions
1. Internet or wifi: Required to store and use the certificate in the cloud.
2. Notification: Required to connect to a PC while using the service.
3. Storage space: Required to save the certificate in the mobile phone storage space to the cloud.
4. Telecommunications company and mobile phone number: Required to confirm accurate information when signing up/cancelling the service.
5. QUERY_ALL_PACAGE permission: This permission is used to search all apps installed on the smartphone and detect and block malicious code.

1. Fingerprint recognition: Required to use the fingerprint authentication service.
