About this app

Which Direction is a simple direction finder. Pick any place, and an arrow points you straight to it. See the bearing (degrees) and distance in real time, then hand off to Google Maps for turn‑by‑turn navigation. An optional AR view overlays the arrow on your camera so you can line up your path outdoors.

How it helps

Never lose your bearings: the arrow shows where your target is relative to you.
Know the numbers: live heading, bearing-to-target, and distance (m/km).
Get there your way: open Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation with one tap.
Works outdoors and in wide open spaces: handy for hiking, meetups, parked car, trailheads, geocaching, festivals, or finding a dropped pin.
Key features

Set a target by long‑pressing on the map (or set target = your location).
Arrow compass that updates with your phone’s heading.
Bearing (°) and distance readouts.
Google Maps handoff for navigation.
AR mode: arrow over camera view for intuitive direction finding.
Offline map screen (OpenStreetMap) as a simple fallback when coverage is spotty.
One-time “Go Premium” purchase to remove ads.
No account required; location and sensor data are processed on your device.
How to use

Open the Map tab and long‑press anywhere to set a target.
Follow the on‑screen arrow toward the target; watch bearing and distance update.
Tap “Navigate (Google Maps)” for turn‑by‑turn directions.
Use the AR tab to overlay the arrow on your camera for quick alignment.
Notes and tips

If the compass feels off, wave the phone in a figure‑8 to calibrate and avoid magnets/metal.
GPS accuracy varies indoors; best results are outdoors with clear sky view.
The Offline tab uses OpenStreetMap tiles. Recently viewed tiles may still show without data, but this is not a full offline download.
Permissions

Location: to show your position and calculate direction/distance.
Camera (optional): only for AR mode.
Monetization

Contains ads. One‑time in‑app purchase available to remove ads.
Privacy

We do not collect or store your location on our servers. Ads and maps are provided by Google/OSM; see the in‑app Privacy Policy for details.
