About this game

MC4D is a true analog of Rubik's Cube in four dimensions. Tap a hyper-face (a 3x3x3 block of hyper stickers) to rotate that face to the center. Use the buttons to scramble 1, 2, or 3 random twists and then try to undo those twists back to the solved state. Or hit the "Solve" menu item and watch the app do it.

Good practice while you are out and about. Not a replacement for the full featured desktop version at http://superliminal.com/cube/. Still it is interesting to know that two people have already solved this puzzle on Android including one performed one-handed while riding the Moscow subway. How's that for dedication!

Excelent challenge. My only problem is resetting to the solved state. I have pressed solve some 10 times, and each time it ends after 100 twists or so, but I cant tell if its getting any closer to the solved state. it would be helpful to just have a reset functionality, so I dont have to wait so long after screwing up the puzzle beyond my ability to solve it.

When are you going to port the UI to access the other variants on Android? I'd like to continue trying to figure out the 4D prisms. Getting kinda sick of the tesseract here. I don't carry around a desktop anymore; and I already beat this one twice. Edit: It has been a very long time. I'm sorry for the deaths of your programmers (or their ability to care about their creation).

It's all in there. There's just no UI to select other puzzles. You should really use the full desktop app for that since it supports macros and everything else you would need.

Visually, this is an excellent port of the desktop classic. Unfortunately, it looks like much of the functionality vanished a few android updates ago, resulting in several important functions becoming inaccessible (there's no scramble or solve button for example). I wish that this app would get updated, to restore functionality.

What's new

Raymond Zhau brought the app up to current Android standards which magically fixed the problem with missing overflow menus on newer devices, and gave the app a nice facelift. Thanks Raymond!!!
