Ratings and reviews

Not worth spending money on connects which are requiered to submit your resumes to companies. What a joke! When you do use connects most if not every single time you never get a reply back. Just a waste of money using this dumb app that charges you money just so you can submit your work resume. There are many platforms that are free to submit your resume. Go somewhere else.

It seemed like it could have potential at first, but there is no way to search by location. searching for jobs only results in hundreds of postings from other countries or hundreds of miles away for lowballing clients. Even when using the U.S. only filter, 90% of the listings either show the OP located in China/India, or the OP doesn't even bother providing a location and I'm expected to PAY to apply to jobs that may be thousands of miles away?! Nope!

Dark pattern ads. It seems they've introduced Fullscreen ads for their apps, which is displayed once a day (?). There's no option to disallow it, and the worse thing about it is, there's a small dot at the top left of the close button, so when you can't close it easily. Otherwise the app is fine in most cases. I'll update my review if the ad is stopped or there's an option to stop the ad. This is really unexpected from Upwork, doing something so cheap.
