About this app

CURE ID is a free platform to share novel uses of existing drugs - also known as drug repurposing/off-label use - and explore what others have tried. The goal is to find potential treatments for challenging diseases that lack good treatment options.

Our mission is to use the information collected from users sharing their treatment experiences publicly on CURE ID to help inform what drugs are studied in clinical trials. The findings from these trials will enable the medical community to learn whether a drug is effective or not for its new use.

CURE ID works by collecting a simple case report form from patients, care partners, and healthcare providers about their experience using an approved product for an unapproved use. Users can browse from a collection of cases that have already been documented, including results of treatment, in addition to viewing relevant clinical trials and those open to enrollment at clinicaltrials.gov. App users can also participate in a treatment discussion forum where they can engage with fellow patients, care partners, and healthcare providers from around the world and seek answers to questions they may have.

Join the global community sharing their real-world experiences using repurposed drugs for diseases that lack adequate treatment!

i heard about this from the Cautionary Tales podcast. Sadly I'm not a scientist or dr able to add data but I think this is a brilliant and vital idea and should be better known so I'm downloading and upvoting.

Thank you for your interest in the CURE ID platform! While it was not the focus of the article by Michael Lewis, CURE ID is actually open to patients and caregivers contributing their treatment experiences, as well as healthcare providers. We would welcome your participation in the platform.

An amazing initiative to share novel and new uses of medicine to treat rare conditions that go otherwise ignored. This app fills a critical gap and deserves more attention.
