●Connect the BOSS GX-100 and your Android device via Bluetooth to use this app.
* BOSS GX-100 (later than ver.1.10) and BluetoothR Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL) are necessary to use this app.
* Set up the Bluetooth connection in the Connection window displayed after the app is launched.

●BOSS TONE STUDIO incorporates convenient functions; ‘Download Function of Additional Tones (Livesets)’, ‘Tone Edit Function’, and ‘Tone Librarian Function’.

●This app provides an integrated access to the BOSS TONE CENTRAL website offering additional free contents for BOSS products.
*An active internet connection is required to download the additional tones (Livesets).

Ratings and reviews

I've been using this app for a while and it will definitely get the job done but with a few problem areas. First, and most glaring, is that changing between patches takes about 15 seconds for the patch to load in the app. Next, the layout isn't optimal. To edit any effect you have to click the effect in the chain, then click knob view, edit then go back, and repeat for each effect. It would be nice to have the effect settings show below the chain like on the GX-100 itself.

Selecting the Gx100 via BT is clunky n not intuitive. But the biggest issue is that it takes a long time to upload and download changes: this could be made considerably faster n smoother by use of caching n checksums.

Doesn't seem to work on my Huawei. I can see the gx-100 with the phone's own Bluetooth settings, but not with the app. And it works on my wife's iPhone and Samsung both. Tried contacting Boss support too, but no luck. And six months since release, without any updates...
