About this app

Tired of flip clock apps with a lot of ADs and permissions? This is an open source app that displays a flip clock on your phone with no permission and no ad.

Double tap to switch between 12/24-hour clock format, rotate to switch between landscape and portrait.

Open source repo: https://github.com/AlynxZhou/flipclock-android/

I am not sure how to make it an Android screensaver because I am a Linux developer, I just ported it because SDL2 supports Android. And I think people nowadays don't use screensaver on Android.

I suggest to use it just as a clock with your old, unused Android phone, because they should be LCD screen. Please don't use it for long time on OLED screen (which is in most of new phones), because OLED screen will have scars if you display similar patterns for long time.

Simple & easy to use, just turn your phone, but I've been using the app on my Note 9 & FYI Android still has a Screensaver option, and that's a favorite option of mine so that's one star down, I would be able to use the app more if it did have it, so my 2 gripes are not having Screensaver option & not having screen burn protection, other than that great app!

The best clock. I use it when I need to be constantly aware of the time, like at public speaking etc, especially when looking at wristwatch too often might appear kinda rude lol. To enable seconds, place and hold two fingers on the screen and tap with third, might take few tries. First two fingers might cause 12/24h switch, just switch it back to what you need. A bit tricky but it's there :)

Perfect. No ads, no fuss, just the clock and nothing but the clock. Excellent job! If there was one thing I'd add, it would be sound. Maybe long press could open settings for am/pm, sounds, colours, styles, etc. 😃 Even without all that, the fact this has no ads means my 5 star rating remains. 🙏🏻🌟
