All books on the Let’s Read app are 100% free to read and with no ads. You can download and save your favorite books to read anytime, online or offline.

Multilingual readers can switch between languages within the storybooks with a quick tap, accessing the many languages available on the Let’s Read app, including English.

New books are being added to the Let’s Read library all the time through our wide network of local authors, illustrators, and translators.


Let’s Read is a program of The Asia Foundation that fosters young readers in Asia. We focus on underserved languages and original content developed through community-based workshops that produce culturally relevant stories.

Ratings and reviews

This is a great resources for people and children around the world to hear stories and tales from Asia and the surrounding areas. Other than the problems that naturally present themselves from translation, some pages are missing pictures. Some are missing text. But all in all, we love this app and the charming stories and pictures it provides! I have some ideas on how to improve the app, if anyone associated with it wants to hear.

It's an amazing free app. My kids love it and I recommended it to all my friends and students. It is great that it has stories from different parts of Asia. My kids are learning so much about our neighboring countries. Thank you for making learning free. Kudos to the team! You are helping us, parents and teachers, raise a better world thru reading.

Its Absolutely free , because I used it ☺️ and very helpful for children's vocabulary, reading skills , you can learn many more new words because of which you can improve in your studies too,Specially in ENGLISH subject . It will definitely Increase your childs imagination because of the beautiful drawings the stories will make you feel happy 😊 😃 Also some stories have recorded audio that you can listen 🎶 It's a very Good app that I recommend for an aesthetic reader 😄 Thank you 💓
