This is the second edit. After I found and enabled the well hidden setting "Modify system settings" -- well away from all the other permissions in Android's app settings -- it works. Before it did nothing and seemed a waste of money. Hint: This ought to be included in the instructions. It seems I have to run both, Wifi-Keeper and Home Assistant Companion for stability. Something in Android tends to turn the "modify system settings" off and then it fails again. Have not found out what yet.

It started out good then now all it does is read error error it's more of a hindrance now then a help I guess I should not complain to much you pay couple bucks for a cup of coffee and that don't last long neither but a person may as well stick to the free version it partially works

prematurely paid for this app...it has 1 job and consistently fails at it. unable to keep connection for more than a few days to the same wifi network for a phone that is permanently mounted as a security camera. have to unlock phone and manually reinitiate connection.
