Receive custom notifications for earthquakes in New Zealand, and bulletins on volcanic activity.

NOTE to upgrading users: please check your settings (while you have internet connectivity), to be certain your push notification settings are set correctly.

Features include:

* Get notified within a few minutes of quakes that interest you.
* Set up multiple notifications by location and intensity, or magnitude and depth.
* Configurable notification rules, sounds and quiet time periods (for Android 7 and prior).

* View felt reports from around the country alongside shaking levels recorded by our seismograph network.

⭐️Was 5 stars, but I keep getting your red alert visual from the app, that would only appear as a result of an event. When I see it I get alarmed thinking there's been an event, but it's advice instead. While advice is important, I have to switch off notifications now from your app, because they are no longer alerts. So it's only half as useful now.

useless asf app tells me to turn on location to detect a shake. even when location on. is essentially useless

Used to be excellent. Earthquake alerts haven't worked in a long time. Doesn't appear to be actively maintained anymore. Alerts are even more unreliable. Really needs someone to pull their thumb out and fix it...
