About this app

Please note: To display the data on the watch, a connection to the phone is required!

Which data is displayed on the watch?

The distance and the direction* to a geocache.
* the direction can be displayed if the watch has a compass

Can only the watch be used for geocaching?

Yes, under the following conditions:
- the watch has a GPS sensor
- Geocaches were transferred / saved to the watch using the phone app

If the watch has no GPS sensor, the location of the mobile phone is synchronized with the watch. In this case, the app on the watch will only work with a connection to the phone.

How does WearGo work?

- install WearGo on the phone and on the watch
- connect your phone to the watch
- add geocaches
- select a geocache
The data is then displayed on the watch.

How can geocaches be added?

- entering your own coordinates
- importing GPX files
- (optional) using the app c:geo
- (optional) using the app Locus Map

What permissions are required?

Location: is needed to determine the own position and to calculate the distance to the geocache.

Internal storage (optional): required for importing GPX files

**10/11: I already had the latest update. **9/28 update: updated version on watch and phone. I like the displays better, but watch still only shows distance in meters, even when app is open on both devices. ** I agree with the previous reviewer. Now you can change distance to feet, but only on the phone. Still displays meters on my watch (Watch5 Pro). Also, arrow is on the bottom of the watch screen (odd place for it) and is frequently obscured by the settings tab which is also at the bottom.

Hi Robert! I have just updated both apps. Please make sure that both apps must be open when changing the distance unit. Also, I have changed the view for the settings. I would be grateful for feedback! Greetings!

I'm still looking for the ultimate caching app. This would be more helpful if the watch displayed miles instead of kilometers (I set the main app to do this but it does not change the watch). I wish it could use the phone's compass or maps.

Hello erickson! The setting to show miles instead of kilometers should work now with the latest update. Greetings!

Sure I would have loved the app. But I only got a message that said that the app is only available on the Galaxy Watch 4. So I can't use it. Edit: Then say "for Galaxy watch 4" in the name in the same way a PS game says Playstation on the cover.

Hi Paquot! The Galaxy Watch 4 is the only Wear OS watch by Samsung. The title of my app gives already the hint, that only Wear OS watches are supported. It's like buying a Playstation game and complaining that Windows doesn't support the game. Edit: Wear OS is the operating system, the Galaxy Watch 4 is one of many Wear OS watches out there.
