I've been with Manta for a long time. I used to have a subscription, but I had to get rid of it since times got hard. I was fine with dropping certain stories that require one. I just went with the "wait till free" content. I had a line of stories stacked up, and I was happy. Now that the gem thing came in, 95% of the stories I added that was free had to be removed. What is the point of a free book reading app if u can't even do that? This is really disappointing news for the long-time readers.

had a subscription for a few years liked that I had access to all the content without having to pay for each chapter. but this new gem system was rolled out recently. now even though I pay for a subscription to the app stuff is locked behind this 2nd pay wall. im thinking of canceling once I finish the series that I have started. what's the point of paying for a subscription? it makes no sense. you can do better. go somewhere else or read the free content only.

I did love it at first, despite knowing I'll never see any endings because I will never pay a subscription. I used to read 10 different comic ones every day, but now it's down to 3, because almost all others are now suddenly unable to read any chapters at all w/o a subscription. I am almost at the point of uninstalling the app, because what's the point? I would much rather watch ads for chapters, than pay this app any money. This isnt really worth having if you don't spend money on it, like me.
