This is pretty good for a free ap. There are plenty of free options that can be customized to your preferences. There are a few sounds locked behind the paid version, but I'd estimate that more than half are free, so chances are you can find something without having to pay. However, if you can't find the right sound with what is available, the paid version is like $5 I think. Which is significantly cheaper than other similar apps I've looked at.

I use Thunder Storm combined with Rain on Leaves, thunder off. I put this combination on in my ear buds when I'm going to sleep, and it's the best. I wake periodically as a habit, and when I'm using this app, my semi-conscious mind thinks it's actually raining out. It's that good. That's why I don't use the thunder features. They're so real sounding that I tend to listen to them like I would music, and I don't sleep as well. As with other reviewers, I can't detect the loop, which is nice.

I've been using this app for over a year, and I love it! It's simple, I can customize the amount of time it runs, and I can customize the sounds! I use it at night and during the day, I use it in the bedroom to calm my dogs anxiety. It took me a minute to figure out how to stop the app with the "X" at the bottom right. Just exiting the app does not shut it off. And I love the windchimes, but for some reason that sound causes the app to randomly stop playing. Otherwise, it's perfect!
