In dem neuen Update wird zusätzlich berechnet, wann die Luftqualität in der Zeit einer Epidemie hygienisch unbedenklich ist. Laut der „SARS-CoV-2-Arbeitsschutzregel“ kann auch durch verstärktes Lüften die Konzentration von möglicherweise in der Raumluft vorhandenen virenbelasteten Aerosolen reduziert werden. Aus Infektionsschutzgründen wird in der App daher ein weiterer Infektionsschutzzielwert angegeben, der auch in Zeiten anderer Epidemien (z. B. Grippe-Epidemie) Anwendung finden kann.
