Log in with bol account
Never before have you been able to do so much with your bol account. Log in once and voilà: all your ebooks and audiobooks are there. Magic? No. Convenient? Of course. Revolutionary? Mmm… no.

Listen to audiobooks whenever you want
Don't feel like reading with your eyes? Then you can now also read with your ears! Whether you are driving, exercising or in another situation where picking up a book is unacceptable: with the intuitive player in the app you can listen to books in a relaxing way.

Read ebooks the way you want
You can set things like font size, night mode and font entirely to your own preference. So say goodbye to that book with those far too small tiny letters and hello to your new favorite book in cow letters.

Unlimited reading and listening
All you have to do is register for Kobo Plus via bol. And then... you can't believe your eyes and ears. So many books to borrow! The first 30 days are free and the subscription can be canceled monthly. Yes, you can read until you go cross-eyed (or have dull ears).

Buy ebooks or audiobooks
Is a story so dear to you that you always want it in your life? We get it. That's why you can also buy ebooks and audiobooks. Then you can also simply buy ebooks or audiobooks individually. Both at bol and via the app you can pay securely via iDeal or credit card, or go to bol if you want to pay afterwards.
Do you also read on a Kobo e-reader?

From app to e-reader. And back to the app. And yet back to the e-reader. Everything is possible, because you can switch seamlessly between app and e-reader thanks to automatic synchronization. All your bookmarks, notes and highlights are synced. This way you never have to wonder where you went.

Why do you spell it as an ebook?
Wrong and naughty. We know. But during research we noticed that texts that often say "e-book" became difficult to read. So we chose ebook. And readability. But that doesn't mean we believe in a loose spelling life.

Ratings and reviews

App is ok, workable though a bit buggy. Navigation takes some getting used to; accessing your library is a little counter intuitive. The tabs for books you've already purchased are small and at the bottom, the front-and-center buttons redirect to the store. Also, app regularly loses my place in audiobooks, but with the table of contents it's easy enough to recover. Edit: I can no longer download e-books in the app, it gives a 'content error'. Can only be use for audio books. Down to two stars

I use this app to use light novels and it's pretty nice. It has dark mode and adjustable font size. I did have a problem once that I bought a light novel but it didn't show up in my library and I had to buy it again, but I haven't been able to find cheaper light novels anywhere else. It also syncs nicely with the desktop version.

I use the app with the Kobo plus subscription everyday and I find it extremely usefull. I have all the books I need at hand. However, it used to be possible to add the books I wanted directly from the app. That it is no longer possible, even if the books are free with my subscription. Also, the app uses amazing amounts of mobile data, even when all the books were already downloaded. It is hard to justify 0.5 GB of mobile data within 1h, when al I did was reading an already downloaded book.
