I find it reliable and clear connection. I would like to use the alarm function, and have variable success. Not sure if the app needs to be open, but not playing for the alarm to trigger. Have enjoyed this station for 20ish years and like that I don't have to access via 3rd party for streaming.

App does not always play when pause is off. It has to be constantly reset, not something you can do while driving. App frequently cuts out for various lengths of time (in wide open areas). It is great when it works. I'm just grateful it exists. Flawed WCPE is better than no WCPE at all. So they've got some work to do on it yet.

WCPE is a wonderful classical music station run mostly by volunteers. The announcers are delightful, particularly because they are live. There are occasional technical glitches, but nothing that can't be fixed and forgiven. Our local public station effectively abandoned us by moving its transmitter so far away that we can't receive the signal. WCPE solved that problem for us!
