About this app

Interested in astronomy? How about a daily astronomy picture as your wallpaper / lock screen?

With many, many options, hopefully you enjoy this app as much as I enjoyed making it! Every APOD from the last ~20 years is included, and can be shared with others.

Any suggestions / issues leave a review or email me at apod@jakelee.co.uk

Love it, but it doesn't like my lock screen ... I've been enjoying this app despite its insistence that I "wait 9 minutes" and have used it across many different devices ans versions, but it won't leave my lockscreen on this Samsung Note9 running Android10. It's been a couple of years. Is there a fix yet? [If I knew how to automate resetting the lock screen I just might settle for that, but that isn't really the right answer ...]

You might have to load the app daily to reset but it always loads the APOD for me. Great wallpaper app. 👍

A rather complex app, which sadly has crucial shortcomings, for example: 1) Selects TODAY's image, with no fluid navigation to past days or weeks; 2) takes forever to load images of any other dates, with no hint or thumbnail to show WHAT it's going to be about; 3) there's no way you can read the full description of the image being visited, due to an obstructing dark rectangle at the bottom and the inability to scroll down; and 4) crashes often when trying to fetch past days. (Uninstalled)

Hey, thanks for the review. 1) There is a calendar at the top. This will let you select any other date. 2) Yep, the app is intended for an image a day, not general browsing, so only downloads older images when you ask for them. 3) Hmm, this is a good point. I'll make it scrollable. 4) Please email reproduction steps to apod@jakelee.co.uk Thanks!
