On the right path but not exactly there. I am looking for an app I can use to help with ingredients that I want to avoid. I do like the option to avoid gluten and nano particles etc. I also want to be able to select specific ingredients. Example: Almonds. To be able to set the app to look for this in food and skincare products. Another Example: Petrochemicals To set the app for avoiding this category of ingredients.

Weak database. Downloaded this and a couple similar apps. CodeCheck runs pretty smoothly and seems like it has a lot of customizable options. However it didn't identify any of several hygiene product barcodes I scanned. Scanned them in another app and they came up no problem. might as well just use the app that actually works...

Good idea for an app. 5 stars idea, I'd say. Though I think that in comparison to other apps $5 (CHF 5) to go ad free is too much, especially in regard that people who want to shop ecologically don't want to see commercial spam ads for unecological products all the time. So, I find the pricing slightly abusive. Also I found that most products I wanted to check with this app so far aren't in the database yet, which renders it more of a training tool (you make a habit of checking product details).
