The Balboa Worldwide App (bwa™), is an app for your Android® device that allows you to access your hot tub via a direct connection anywhere in the local proximity of your tub, anywhere in your house that you can connect to your local WiFi network, or anywhere in the World you have an internet connection to your smart device via 3G, 4G, or WiFi hot spots.
With the bwa™ app, you can ensure that your hot tub will be ready whenever you want to take a dip. Instead of going outside and pressing buttons on the topside panel, the app lets you start the tub and change settings from your smartphone or tablet.
The App provides full interface control so you can set the temperature, turn pumps on and off and even set filtration cycles.

This app does exactly what is needed and it's basic. I'm ok with that. Just bought to monitor temperature in winter time and make sure their are no problems while away from home. An upgrade that would be nice is, maybe a log of pump running time?? Overall very simple install on the module, so far no connection issues at all. Let's keep it that way! Don't fix what's not broke.

We installed WiFi controller version 07 (latest) ourselves under $200 on Balboa controlled tub. Initilal setup is semi smooth, just ignore the message that it did not get connected. After that both the local and cloud connections are reliable, no issues with Android 8 phone. Main complains: The Menu does not have cancel option, once you hit it you need to reconnect. The lights on/off does not work with external light controller. It is just for controlling 2 pumps and temperature remotely.

App works fine, connection and control is fine.... but absolutely hate that I have to turn location on every single time. I understand doing so during initial setup, but after that it shouldn't be required. I gave dozens of smart devices and cameras around my home that never rewrite location to access when away, no reason this one should require it.
