About this app

DryProof is a daily drying log for water damage restoration.

You set air movers and dehumidifiers, then come back every day until the structure is dry. DryProof is where the readings go, so the record behind the equipment line on your invoice is built as you work instead of written from memory at the end.

WHAT IT DOES

Reading round, one screen per chamber
Record the affected air, an unaffected control, the outside air and the dehumidifier outlet. DryProof works out the grains per pound for each one and shows them side by side, so you can see whether the dehumidifier is actually pulling water while you are standing next to it.

Material readings with a control
Record moisture readings on the materials you are drying, and a control reading of the same material somewhere unaffected in the same building. The drying goal is that control reading. There is no universal number, so DryProof does not print one.

Pin and pinless kept apart
A pin meter and a pinless meter do not share a scale. DryProof will not compare a reading from one against a control from the other. It reports the goal as not established instead, which is the honest answer.

Equipment day ledger
Record what you place and when you pull it. DryProof counts the unit days per chamber and per job from those records, and the report states the counting rule in full rather than printing a bare number. The total is what your records produce under that rule, not a figure an insurer has agreed.

Drying curve
Moisture against day for each material, with the control line drawn across it. A flattening line next to the control is the picture that justifies pulling equipment.

Scope record
Category of water and class of intrusion, recorded with the date you assessed them. Category can deteriorate as a job goes on, so each assessment is kept with its own date instead of overwriting the last one.

Drying report
A PDF with the scope, the daily reading tables, the equipment day totals, the progress against control, your photos and your signature.

Photos
Damage and equipment, kept with the job.

Backup and restore
One file holding every job, reading, placement and photo, so a new phone does not cost you the record behind an invoice you are still chasing.

Works offline
Everything is stored on your phone. There is no account and no upload of your job records.

WHO IT IS FOR

Owner-operators and small water damage restoration firms. The person taking the readings and the person chasing the invoice are usually the same person, and this is written for him.

ABOUT THE STANDARD

DryProof records the daily monitoring information the IICRC S500 standard describes: psychrometric readings, a comparison against unaffected material, and the category and class you assess. S500 is an industry consensus standard, not law, and DryProof does not certify that your work followed it. DryProof records the readings you enter. It does not declare a structure dry, safe, or free of contamination, and it is not an inspection or a certification.

Imperial and metric units are both supported. Imperial is the default.

What’s new

The report now states which IICRC S500 monitoring information DryProof records, instead of saying the work follows S500. The equipment day total now says plainly that it is what your records produce under the counting rule, not a figure an insurer has agreed.
