PURPOSE OF THIS APPS
The purpose of this app is to enable a potential employer to find their potentialĀ interns.
PROBLEMS FACED WHICH LEAD TO THIS APPĀ BEINGĀ CREATED
During my working life, IĀ have noted that someĀ interns have been knocking office doors, one after another, asking whether there are any available positions for interns. I also noted that many interns would prefer to have the working place close to their parents' place so that they can stay with their parents to reduce accommodation course, and also close to their house to reduce transportation cost.
As for the employer, sometimes it is difficult for them to source for intern, unlessĀ they pay for the service to find the potential interns.
HOW THIS APPĀ CAN HELP?
The potential internĀ only have to register in this apps mentioning their needs/offer. Intern can register their course of study, and the internship category of job prefered.
The employer can search for the potential intern using this app.
And the best thing, this apps is FREE!

Please note that this directory is open to everyone, so be mindful on what you put in the form.
The advantage of putting a detailed information is that the employer and intern knows exactly being offered, and the location of the person/office. But the drawback is that everyone, including scammers might look at your profile.
On the contrary, insufficient info will make it difficult for the employer/ intern to make decision etc.
These are some suggestions to reduce scammers using you personal info.
In this apps, only name,Ā e-mail address, approximate address and courseĀ areĀ compulsary. You may want to use alternative e-mails if you are afraid that your normal e-mail and/or use nick name.
The other info such asĀ address, picture, phone numbers are not required to be disclosed. However, the fewer info you provide, the less attractive is you profile.
So here are some suggestionsĀ
1. Name - you may want to give nickname instead of real name
2. Address - you may choose a place close to your real place (eg community hall nearby, petrol station nearby etc) as your "address". In theĀ "address" cell, you need to put google map location coordinate. Just type the location of your area, and click "fetch location" . The app will suggest the coordinate. Amend if necessary. Note that the coordinate suggested might not be exactly where your location is, which is good for your safety. However, this would be sufficient forĀ the employer toĀ know your close proximity.Ā
3. Telephone number - you may want to subscribe to alternative phone number. If you don't put phone numbers, it would be difficult for you to be contacted.
4. Picture, you may opt to leave this if you do not want to disclose
As mentioned, the more information you provide in you profile, the more attractive your profile will be.
GARBAGE DATABASE?
TheĀ admin will delete the info which are more thanĀ one month old, to ensure that the database is still relevant, unless advised otherwise by the intern.
In the future, a special page would be created just to differentiate between the confirmed genuine individual/ company. Some identification need to be given to the admin, so that we can confirmed your identity. Information from this page will be more reliable.
