LOCAL NEWS, SPORTS, WEATHER

The free KSL.com News app offers in-depth coverage of all things Utah — from high school sports scores in Logan to election results in Ogden, business news straight out of Silicon Slopes to motor vehicle accidents impacting your SLC commute.

Stay apprised of what’s going on in your area by filtering your news feed according to general locations including central, eastern, southern and northern Utah. Or, get even more specific by using popular county filters for Davis, Salt Lake, Summit/Wasatch, Tooele, Utah or Weber. Enable push notifications for breaking news and weather alerts, so you never miss what matters most to you.

The weather coverage isn’t limited to high/low temperatures for the week. Use the Ski Report to find the perfect powder days at any of Utah’s mountain resorts or the River Flow Tracker to safely plan your favorite recreational activities. You can also watch the forecast from one of the meteorologists on the KSL Weather Team.

Follow the action of Utah’s high school, college and pro sports teams using the KSL.com News app. Listen to live radio broadcasts of BYU football games as well as Cougar Sports Saturday. If you bleed red, purple or a darker shade of blue, don’t worry. There are separate sections for the Utes, Wildcats and Aggies.

NATIONAL AND GLOBAL COVERAGE

Staying current in your community is important, but so is understanding what’s happening around the world. The KSL.com News app also includes national and international news stories from the Associated Press, so you can get all of your daily news in the same place. No wonder it’s the most downloaded news app in Utah!

This app has always been buggy, but after yesterday's update, it doesn't open at all. (After clearing cache and reinstalling.) Update: Tried the beta for a while. Now, certain ads cause it to crash when they load. Currently can't keep the app open for more than eight seconds. Pure trash.

Good app, but they've been putting in more and more ads. I get it, you need revenue. But at least make it so you can turn off autoplay on videos! I'm tired of videos playing in there middle of an article. Completely distracting. I would've rated 4 stars before the recent onslaught of ads in the middle of every article and pinned at the bottom of the screen. Don't update if you don't want way more ads. They also censor comments, even if they don't violate their rule. Zero transparency on that.

I like to listen via the streaming feature, and it has usually been a reliable connection. After this latest update, it crashes after about 20 seconds.
