GEMA stands for the Bible Reading Movement, which is a movement to help the congregation to be able to read the entire Bible in every three years. GEMA was published for the first time in 1999 by the Church of Christ Jesus, Jakarta, Indonesia.

As the name implies, GEMA emphasizes that the Bible must be read by all people, especially Christians. GEMA is only a guide to reading the Bible so that Bible readers can regularly read the Bible and understand the Bible more. The Bible is the word of God that must be read and pondered so that we can know God and fill His heart and be able to know Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, so we can have eternal life and can live life according to God's plan.
