BBC Weather app and your privacy:
The BBC Weather app allows you to see weather information based on your current location. When you first install the app, we’ll ask you whether you wish to enable this option. You can turn this feature on/off at any time via Settings > Apps > BBC Weather > Permissions > Locations.

About BBC Weather:
BBC Weather is responsible for preparing and broadcasting weather forecasts across the BBC, in association with the MeteoGroup. It broadcast its first weather forecast in 1922 and by 1936 was pioneering the use of weather maps during TV forecasts. The BBC Weather app was launched in 2013 and is now one of the most popular weather apps in the UK.

Ratings and reviews

Everything looks and works great. I'd add time display to the widget, but to be fare it's a weather widget... Just adding some extra info... Some time after my review, the widget started to show loading message and to get to the locations I'd have to open the app. Then it switched to perpetual update status and no weather would show at all. Reinstalling... May be just a glitch!

Accuracy not always perfect but then what weather app is. Simple to add / remove other places for holidays etc. Update July 2024 I like to add additional temporary places when I am due to go somewhere soon. Previously you could add them and use the list to delete or reorder them as required. Now the only way to do this is to make them a favourite first otherwise they stay there until overwritten. The new process is more convoluted at the expense of added a recently searched list.

Uped to work fine, but has stopped working for last couple of months.First page doesn't update for your location. Opens up with 'this forecast is not available' Refreshing does not help. App no longer lists favourite locations, even though there is a settings screen where it says it should be listed. As a result,, unable to delete old location searches or store favourites.
