Really happy to see that TfL have launched an app for their services. It still needs work but if they'll commit to it they'll make it as good as their website. In future updates I hope to see that one can use the app to check their contactless cards as well and not just their oyster card like at present. Also, I hope that the journey planner function will be implemented inside the actual app instead of just redirecting to the official website. Lastly, I hope there will be some cosmetic changes to the app as right now it feels a bit dated.
Downloaded it yesterday but reviewing today after using the app. Logged into my account for the first time and it instantly found my registered oyster card. After using it, it logged my journeys, which I was able to see without issue. It also tells you how much you've spent in a journey and I managed to buy a travelcard with ease. The only annoying this about the app is what it thinks as being "low credit". So far, I've been lucky to not have any issues with this app. Wonder what the updates will bring when they are released.
Well it's installed and I can see my Oyster card - so far, so good! The question is, can I use this app on my phone to tap in at the station or bus? I don't really want to try during rush hour and hold everyone up if the functionality isn't even there!
Doesn't work! Topped up £60 a day and half ago and my balance is still 90p. Amount has been deducted from my bank account though. No way to contact tfl except for calling them. Such a faff for something that should've made things easier.
Excellent design, please push updates with extensive new features or security patches and for the love of god, please tell us what's in the new updates, so many devs have stopped saying what's included in the updates but rather just type something generic like 'bug fixes' or 'we hope you like the new update'. It's annoying.
App looks good and get my oyster cards straight away. Still feeling the app out, but downfall for me is not being able to see my contactless cards as well like in a previous app. This would be a great addition
