Collabora Office is a text editor, spreadsheet and presentation program based on LibreOffice, the world's most popular Open Source office suite - and now it's on Android, enhancing your possibilities to work on mobile and for collaboration.

This app is in active development, feedback and bug reports are very welcome.

About the app:

Collabora Office for Android uses the same engine as LibreOffice for Windows, Mac, and Linux. This, combined with a new front-end based on Collabora Online, reads and saves documents similarly to LibreOffice desktop.

Collabora Engineers Tor Lillqvist, Tomaž Vajngerl, Michael Meeks, Miklos Vajna, Jan Holešovský, Mert Tümer and Rashesh Padia have been developing Android support since 2012, with the help of Google Summer of Code students Andrzej Hunt, Iain Billet and Kaishu Sahu.

Updated Review 10/08/24: The latest update fixed a lot of the issues with functionality. It's still slow and it does crash occasionally, but it's usable again. I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro, so it's not an issue with underpowered hardware on my end. Collabora is by far the best office suite available for Android, and hopefully it continues to improve.

Perfect application for viewing and editing OpenDocument formats. A good companion app with Nextcloud for editing remote documents. I took stars off because I couldn't find a fit-to-screen view like in Word or Google Docs (I'll keep looking). Also, selecting blocks of text hides the keyboard rather than opening a "right-click" menu, making it difficult to edit. Finally, I'd like to easily move documents written on my phone to my Nextcloud.

Great Office application, a little slow on document initialization load and exit. But other then that. Totally Free with no ads. Works great, if you were looking for a free document editor & editor that works well with Micro$oft documents & spread sheets you found it. A few bugs here & there but not a game killer by no means. This release has various fixes including a fix to copy/paste with links, formatting or formulas and a fix to moving around spreadsheets while selecting text.
