About this app

With Simple Stepper, you can easily and conveniently track each of your steps. All you need to do is install and launch the app - it's as simple as that.

Your current progress will be continuously updated and displayed in the information section of your smartphone.

If desired, you can set up a profile and establish personalized daily goals. This allows you to track not only your steps but also estimate calorie expenditure and the distance covered based on your recorded steps.

All your data is stored in the daily history, making it easy to track which days you achieved your daily goal and which ones you didn't.

In case you accidentally record a few extra or fewer steps, you can easily correct them for the current day using the plus button.

Furthermore, you have the option to customize the design. You can choose between a dark and a light theme.

Additionally, there is a backup feature that enables you to save and restore your history. Advanced users can transfer the stored data, for example, to a PC for editing. Alternatively, you can use the backup to transfer your historical data to a new or different device.

This app is a no-nonsense, simplistic step counter that provides the information in real time via the notifications bar. This is exactly what I was looking for. Google's own step tracking "widget" built in to my Pixel 7 doesn't even do this as they make you click on the widget to open their app to see your updated step numbers which is annoying. Another pro is that it doesn't eat battery life like some of the more popular competitors. Kudos to the developer of this app and highly recommend it.

First time using this with Google Fit, Google got 10k meanwhile Simple got 8.4k steps. Second time, they matched. However, I do like that you can simply view the step count in the notifications bar without having to bring up the app. And it's very light weight in UX compared to Google fit, which I like. 1 feedback is the Simple forces the first view onto profile tab. I would rather have the app open up with the step count. Edit: I installed simple stepper first.

Thanks for your feedback, Lennart! 1)Edit: Simple Stepper should start with 0 on initial start, maybe Google Fit doesn't. Feel free to contact our support for deeper investigation. 2)If you didn't close the app via menu's Quit App, or phone restart, it should display the last screen. If it happened anyway, chances are you found a little bug ;]
