About this game

In Jo's Memory you enter a dystopian world that is both future and past.

In a city in the near future, almost everything is delivered by autonomous drones. There's no reason to ever leave the house, so most people don't. Except Jo. Jo loves to ride his bike through the foggy city, even though the fog makes his head feel funny. It paralyses Jo and it makes it hard to see things.

Besides, Jo has a great job inside! At least Jo thinks it's a great job ... But when strange energy anomalies start appearing all over the city and the autonomous delivery system breaks down, it's up to Jo to figure out how to get the system working again. As Jo explores the city, they discover that the job might not be that great and that Jo doesn't know everything about themselves, let alone the world!

Solve the riddles of the mysterious glass cubes, and help Jo find their way around the world by bike. In the process, you'll discover new areas and learn more about the secrets from the past hidden in the fog, which will ultimately reveal Jo's past too.

The Blackbox project with the three partners – the LWL-Museum of Archaeology, the LWL-Roman Museum Haltern and the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum, Leibniz Research Museum for Geo-Resources – opens up closed spaces of archaeological work in a participatory way and with digital means and makes knowledge transparent and discussable. The design studio NEEEU Spaces GmbH supports the joint museums as a digital partner.
