Feeling very conflicted about this one. I loved the original PotK and even tried to keep playing on JP when Global ended. So seeing it again in English was great at first. But the Twitter/X account post only about minting and the blockchain was a MAJOR turn off. Alterna is simplified and automated combat, not strategic and turn based like the original. I can't call it a horrible game, but its a clear downgrade. However, the game has so much more care and quality than Brave Frontier Heroes.

This game is an insult to Phantom of the Kill. It's a memento mori rip off with a PotK overlay. The difference is, is that at least Memento Mori has a story and good music and life. This game has none of that. Couldn't play more than a few levels before I realized it truly has nothing to do with the original game that I loved so much.

It's.... ok? I guess? Everything is automated, you don't get to control anything during the battles, but at least they let you skip them, so it's not a waste of time either. The girls look good for the most part. I was hoping to get a bit more fan service in the special pictures, but so far nothing of the sort. The menus are a bit weird, but there isn't all that much to do either, so you can be done for the day in 5-10min. It's not convoluted like other games with a million things to do.
