PAYMENT LINKS AND QR CODES

We know there’s always (at least) one person (Dave) in your group of friends who never pays up or always promises to pay you in pints. Well, Dave just about owes you a brewery by now, so stop letting him get away with it! We’ve made it beyond easy for Dave to pay upfront, so he really has no excuse. When you create a money pool, it autogenerates a unique payment link that you can share straight into WhatsApp or text or wherever. All Dave has to do is tap and pay - no app download, no account set up, no banking, no excuse. And if Dave turns up to that gig you paid for apologising that he forgot, your money pool also has a unique QR code - all Dave has to do is scan it and pay you there and then. Sorry, Dave! The game’s up.

Collctiv uses bank-level SSL encryption to protect your data and payments. We use 3D secure on all payments to protect yourself and your friends.

Ratings and reviews

Initally, I couldn't withdraw the collection, every time I tried to upload my ID there was an error (lots of different types and combinations were tried). Luckily the team were able to sort the issue in the app within a day and I've been able to get the voucher sorted in time. As a side note, the app says if you upload your passport as the first ID you can use your driving licence as the second. This isn't currently an option on the second drop down.

Really simple app to use made it much easier to collect money from a large group and keep track of who has paid! Only downside for me was the amount of time it took to transfer the money to my bank account, I don't see why this needs to take 3 days? If this could be an instant transfer then the app would be 10/10 for me.

Privacy nightmare. Not only can you not access any collection information without an app, which they don't tell you in advance when setting up on a desktop. But they also require 2 types of IDs to withdraw the money! I did this collection for a sick colleague to send then a get well soon card. What a major mistake. I'm supposed to upload a photo of my passport to the Internet because of that now?
