About this app

This is an app for studying a combination of basic grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and kanji using different exercises and tools.

Audio files are available for all materials (exercises, words, etc.) so you can learn the correct pronunciation.
You will also become familiar with the more than 800 words needed to pass the JLPT N5.

The grammar tips cover basic and also more advanced concepts.
Your efforts are recorded on your profile page to motivate you to learn ever more Japanese.

I like the app, and it really showed lots of informational topics to be aware of. But it certainly has many problems. First, I hate it when the app just auto-closes whenever I try to change my profile picture. And, the app has really bad listening exercises, it sounds so clamped up together. Even if it is an AI or an actual person, it needs to have some sort of improvement.

The content of the app is spectacular! I've really enjoyed the interface and found Coban to be helpful in brushing up on my Japanese. There are a couple issues, though: -When completing a lesson, the screen will sometimes go blank and force you to restart the app. -The AI voice which reads sentences does not separate the words well (even less than Japanese people I've spoken to) The app is wonderful, but it still needs some polish, in my opinion.

It's a promising app, a lot can be done in the future but currently it's not at it's best state yet. Reading exercises for level N4 are missing, I'd like a couple more books in the library for free users. Also, ads appear too often in my opinion. Some of them do not go away even after pressing x, sometimes the ad goes away but the sound of it keeps playing in the background. But the interface is clear and fun, it's structure reads well. I liked the grammar explanation. It can become a good app!
