EDIT - Those non intrusive ads became intrusive so I changed my rating. Its really loud, jarring and annoying. (No longer) My favorite chess app. Limited ads and the ones that are shown are non-manipulative and non-intrusive. Many of the little things I appreciate like when you touch a piece and it shows where it could go but if you change your mind you can get rid if it so you can see the board back to normal again. Thanks

I have no complaint with the functionality. I like that there are puzzles. However, there is a huge gap between amateur level and professional level 1. Amateur level is a relatively stupid player and I almost can't lose, even playing very sloppy. Professional level 1 is unbeatable for me. Another level in between would help.

It's a pretty good app. Play online against real opponents or offline against AI. Puzzles are fun too. My only criticism is that the AI is inconsistent. At amateur level, one game it will provide a decent challenge but, in another, it will make weak moves or glaring errors. It may be the same at professional level, though I cannot comment with any authority on that as I don't play to that level yet.
