Doesn't stay connected to the phone for more than 3 min. I can be in the middle of tuning or changing a preset & it will disconnect & refuse to reconnect. And the "backing track" feature is a joke as it really doesn't connect to Spotify or Apply & will just open a YouTube video for the song you searched for. You end up opening those apps & just playing them via Bluetooth anyway. The amp sims are fine but if the app that controls them doesn't work then what's the point? Oh and the firmware....

The app is fantastic when it works. The sound bank is robust and fun to customize sounds. I upgraded to the Experience Hendrix package and the tones are incredible. This is all contingent on the app actually connecting to the Spark 40. I constantly receive errors that Bluetooth has failed to connect, or needs to pair or disconnects minutes after connecting. I turn everything off, restart, ensure Bluetooth is not connected to other devices, clear the app cache, etc. Frustrating to say the least.

It's a great amp and app, but after the most recent update, trying to download resources for Smart Jam crashes the app. Cannot use this feature at all right now. Hopefully Positive Grid sees this and can fix it. Edit - the smart jam resources have been fixed, but now we are having connectivity issues. I have done all the troubleshooting save from factory resetting, and it still won't connect to the app.

What's new

Fixed an issue where the guitar volume would suddenly cut out when Control X is connected to Spark 40, MINI, or GO, alongside other bug fixes and performance improvements.
