Being a fan of Final Fantasy V's job system and grinding skills etc., I really enjoyed this game. I have yet to finish it but I am quite a few hours deep. The only complaint I have is that it forces you to be online to play the game. I would have loved to play this whenever I am on flights (which is often) but alas, that can't be. If you leave the game for a while and then return, the story might be hard to remember as it is (so far) not very memorable, but it's good enough to keep you engaged.

Solid Final Fantasy title if you enjoyed any of the series 6 or prior, similar in the way it plays. Only issue i've had is at the casino in Gardenia, on the dimensions mental breakdown card game, any time i match the dancer cards before the card the re-arranges the cards or causes you to lose a turn the entire game crashes. Im not sure why, i haven't been able to find a fix.

FFD is one of my favorite Final Fantasy games. For me, it's easily A-tier, where only IV and VI are S-tier. The job system is fun and useful, contributing to a constant sense of advancement. The Fusion Abilities are a great feature. After years of everyone's bellyaching, I'm thrilled that they've just added a cloud save feature. But i agree with others that the new border is visually unappealing.
