Needs to be more useful. You have to be actively watching to see how loud something is. There should be a line graph that shows noise. Level over a period of time so I can use the app to see how loud my party was throughout the night and such. If you shot a gun the app would only tell you how loud momentary you can't review the history to check. This app needs more features like that. A sound level alarm for if your too loud at the library, lots of stuff it could do is missing

I'm giving this a three-star with mixed feelings about it. Overall the app functions well. The only problem is the range seems to cap off at 90 decibels. I have a Galaxy S23. Maybe it's not compatible with the microphone.

Thank you for using the app sound level meter. yes, the upper limit is limited by the characteristics of the phone and, accordingly, the microphone

Doesn't over-emphasize low frequencies. Some sound apps show background low frequencies which are almost unnoticeable. Turn off music/etc you're testing & most read around 45 dB in a mid-major city at 1am.
