Twenty-nine or 29 card game(it is also called Twenty-eight or 28 card game, sometimes with minor variations in rules) is a top card game that is played with a deck of 32 cards. It is a descendent of the Jass family of games from the Netherlands and brought to the subcontinent in the 18th Century by Dutch traders.

Key Features of 29 Card Game

It is played with J, 9, A, 10, K, Q, 8, 7 from each suit. Hence there are 32 cards in the game.
The points of each card is: J (3 points), 9 (2), A (1), 10 (1) and K, Q, 8, 7 have 0 points each.
There are 3+2+1+1 = 7 points in each suit and hence a total of 7 x 4 = 28 points. There is an optional additional point for winning the last hand taking the total to 29.

👥 The game is played by four players in two teams (alternate players form a team), with each player receiving a hand of 8 cards.

🏆 The aim of the game is to win rounds (or tricks) and score points, with the highest card in each round winning all the four cards of that round. Overall objective is to win a set by reaching 6 red points (or pushing the opponents to 6 black points).

How to play? (Mention the steps)
Offline game
Click on the ‘Play Offline’ button to jump into the offline game mode against AI.

Bid the points between 16 and 29.

If you win the bid, set the trump card to bias the game towards your team.

In each round the highest card of the first player’s suit wins all the cards, unless it has been trumped by another player.

Play all the eight rounds and try to win the points you bid for.

Play on multiple games to get +6 in the set score card to win the set.

Online game - Multiplayer 29 Card Game
Click on the ‘Play Online’ button to create or join a multiplayer game with friends.

If you are creating the game, share the joining link with other friends using other Apps like Whatsapp or Messenger.

If you are joining the game, join using the link received from a friend and then select a seat. The host can add bots if atleast one other player has joined.

When all four players have joined, the game will start for all players.

Ratings and reviews

Cool app. Quite engaging and interesting to play. But it need too refinements. 1. Partner does not evaluate risks. 2. Partner does not passes higher cards when I am winning a round. But opponents do. 3. Partner play and waste his and mine trump cards even after knowing opponents do not have no trumps left in previous round, causing to lose further rounds when trumps are most needed. These issues should be taken care of.

Bads: 1. cards are most of the time better with the opponent. 2. My bot partner doesnot take risk. 3. Opponents plays as if they know their hand. 4. No online mode. Goods: 1. interface is simple and user friendly. 2. Rules applied is correct and what most people play. Update June 2024: This game has improved proved a lot, excellent job done by developers. Very less advertisement keeps the game interesting and playable.

Good App. But need to improve. 1. Partner is not passing other card (Throwing trump) when the hand is coming to me confirmed. 2. It's common sense, when you didn't make trump, and you are getting a hand throwing trump card, and if have 2 trump cards in your hand (e.g. 8 & A), you will trump with bigger one (A) which has point. But partner is not doing so.
