RULE CUSTOMIZATIONS

Explore different ways to play with flexible rule options, including:
• Trump — Play with spades only, or add jokers and/or deuces as high trump.
• Nil — Allow nil, disallow nil, or use a zero bid.
• Blind nil — Enable when behind by 100, behind by 200, always, or never.
• Nil / blind nil bonus — Set to 100/200 or 50/100 points.
• Blind bids (non-nil) — Enable when behind by 100, behind by 200, always, or never.
• Nil passing — Exchange 0–4 cards with your partner.

Ratings and reviews

I love how much you can customize the game, it's impossible not to craft your favorite play style. The ads come between rounds, and typically last no more than 10 seconds. My only complaint is that sometimes the bots make moves that aren't completely logical (even taking into account the book penalty) but solo makes those problems less bothering. Definitely download, this is the best spades game on the Play Store.

I've tried a lot of spades apps and most of them have the same problems - the algorithm doesn't understand how to play against or in support of a nil bid, and also doesn't minimize bags when possible. This app seems to be a little smarter. I won't say I always agree with its choices but it generally seems to play strategically. Also, it's not too easy. I have it set for hard play and my team doesn't win often. It can be frustrating but at least it's frustrating for the right reasons.

I like the game. it's fast-paced and challenging. However, there are a number of glitches that need to be worked out. Such as, I play a winning card and my partner cuts it, I play a winning card and my partner plays a card of higher value or my partner bids Nil but then plays a wining card or cuts the card in play. In all situations, the bot had other card options that could have been played. It's frustrating, but you can't change out your bot partner.
