About this app

It is an application that can record snoring, sleep-talking, and bruxism.
There is a voice detection function and a recording level adjustment function.
Please use it as a reference for recording sleep apnea syndrome.

[How to use]
① "Recording start" button
-Since the recording is recorded in the background, the application screen disappears from the outside.
-Multitasking work is also possible.
・ To stop recording, touch the icon on the smartphone screen.
-You can also stop from the notification icon at the top of the smartphone screen.

・ Keep your smartphone as close to your head as possible while you sleep.
-Since it has a voice detection function, silent parts can be cut.

② "Recorded data" button
・ You can see a list of recorded data.
-The initial settings are arranged in "newest order".
-You can also sort by "oldest first", "longest first", and "shortest first".
・ Data can also be sent as an email attachment.

③ "Recording graph" button
-You can see the recording time of bruxism, sleep-talking, and bruxism with respect to sleep time in a bar graph.

④ "Setting" button
・ You can set the volume level to record by referring to the input audio level.
-Audio below the recording volume level will not be recorded and will be cut.
-You can set the destination recording and the backward recording.
"Destination recording" is a setting in which the recording is saved by going back a few seconds so that the first sound is not cut.
"Backward recording" is a setting in which the recording is saved with a margin of several seconds so that the sound at the end of the word is not cut.

★ To you who are snoring and sleeping-Is that snoring okay? ~
Did you know that there are different types of snoring for those who say "I'm always snoring when I'm sleeping" or who may be snoring without even knowing it?
Not all snoring is sensitive and dangerous.
If snoring is transient, you don't have to worry too much about it.
However, be careful of snoring that lasts until morning, has strengths and weaknesses, and grows larger when you lie on your back.

1, Simplicity snoring
A type that does not have daytime sleepiness or lack of deep sleep without breathing, apnea, and hypopnea that causes breathing to stop during sleep.
・ Sleeping
・ When you drink alcohol
・ When you are tired (when you are deeply asleep)
・ When your nose is clogged
It is a state where snoring occurs temporarily.

2. Upper airway resistance syndrome
There is no hypopnea or apnea, but habitual snoring is seen.
During sleep, the path from the nose to the throat of the breathing path (airway) is narrowed, and it is necessary to breathe with a strong force, so sleep is divided.

3, sleep apnea syndrome
Many are accompanied by habitual snoring.
Be aware that the following snoring is likely to cause sleep apnea.
・ After stopping for a while, restart with a rattling sound.
・ Continues until morning
・ Snoring has suddenly increased recently, and the sound has changed.
・ Sleeping on your back makes you bigger
・ There are strengths and weaknesses
Such snoring causes apnea and hypoxia during sleep, which causes the whole body to become hypoxic, albeit temporarily.
Therefore, it not only worsens the sleep state, but also puts a heavy burden on the body.
In addition, sleep is divided and sleep becomes lighter, so be careful even if you are less sleepy during the day!

If the symptoms are left untreated, various lifestyle-related diseases may occur, so it is important to receive appropriate treatment at a medical institution.
Snoring is the most obvious symptom.
Snoring is evidence that the airways (the way you breathe is narrowing).
Sleep apnea is highly suspicious, especially if you start to snore loudly after holding your breath for about 10 seconds.
Due to the inability to rest during sleep, intense drowsiness often develops during the day.
It's so drowsy that you can't get rid of it, and it interferes with work and driving that you should never sleep.
That's not the only fear of sleep apnea.
The narrowing of the airways and hypoxia while sleeping causes the body to become deficient in oxygen.
It is the heart that works hard because of the lack of oxygen due to breathing.
However, the heart is an organ that keeps moving 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
If you don't let your heart rest at night, but rather work hard, your heart will get tired.
Therefore, it is said that people with sleep apnea syndrome are more likely to develop heart failure.

★ What are the two types of sleep apnea syndrome?
① Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
② Central sleep apnea syndrome

① Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
Most fall into this category.
Obstructive is a disease that causes apnea by narrowing the passage of air.
Even in the air passage, the throat is often narrowed.
What are the characteristics of people who tend to have narrow air passages?
·obesity
・ Tonsillar hypertrophy
・ Those who drink alcohol on a daily basis
・ Sleep upward
・ Small lower chin
・ Elderly
·stuffy nose
Especially for obese people and tonsillar hypertrophy.
Many obese people have flesh not only in their appearance but also in their bodies.
Therefore, the throat part is also prone to narrowing with fat.
It is said that when you lie down, gravity is applied and it becomes narrower, which makes it easier for sleep apnea syndrome to occur.
People with enlarged tonsils also tend to be physically narrowed, so be careful.
It is said that children are especially prone to sleep apnea syndrome due to this hypertrophy of the tonsils.
Also, even if you are thin, those who drink alcohol habitually before going to bed tend to loosen and narrow the airways.
And in older people, the muscles of the airways are weakened as well as the muscles of the limbs.
In this way, it is a characteristic of sleep apnea syndrome that you cannot say "it is okay if you are not fat and obese".
According to a recent survey, it is said that many Asians, especially Asians, have smaller lower jaws than Westerners, so even if they are not obese, there are more people with sleep apnea syndrome.

② Central sleep apnea syndrome
(2) Central is mostly those who have some kind of physical illness.
The brain is not signaling the muscles involved in breathing to function properly.
・ Diseases of the brain and spinal cord
・ Diseases that affect the heart
・ Effects of drugs that suppress breathing
It is a sleep apnea syndrome caused by such things.
Also, as a symptom that is hard to notice at bedtime, bruxism may be mentioned as well as snoring.

★ Have you heard of bruxism?

Bruxism occurs unknowingly due to muscle stiffness, stress, excessive fatigue, etc., and there is no particular difference between men and women.
There are roughly three types as follows, and these are collectively called bruxism.

① Grinding
It is a bruxism that makes a "barely" and "squeaky" sound by strongly engaging the upper and lower teeth and moving them to the left and right.
This is the kind of bruxism that many people generally imagine.

② Clenching
It is a bruxism that is hard to notice because it bites the back teeth strongly and does not make a last-minute sound.
The burden on the jaw and teeth is the greatest.

③ Tapping
A type of bruxism that engages the upper and lower teeth in small steps.
It is said that the burden on the teeth and jaw is the lightest.
It is generally thought that bruxism makes a last-minute sound, but in reality, bruxism that does not make a sound like clenching is the heaviest burden on the teeth.
What burden does bruxism put on your teeth?
In general, the causes of tooth loss in humans are, except for trauma.

1st place
Caries and periodontal disease (bacterial infection)
2nd place
The problem of the power of engagement Bruxism
It is the second leading cause of tooth loss after tooth decay and periodontal disease.
Why is bruxism causing tooth loss?
That's because ... the various meshing force problems put extraordinary force on the teeth and roots, making it very likely to break.
In addition, the adverse effects of bruxism cause not only fractures of teeth and roots of teeth, but also various symptoms as follows.

・ Temporomandibular disorders Symptoms of jaw pain and noise
・ Tooth wear Tooth wear
・ Hypersensitive teeth
It is also reported that when bruxism is added to periodontal disease, periodontal disease progresses rapidly.
It is the cause of this bruxism, but unfortunately it has not been clarified yet.
Since the cause is not clear, there is no clear guideline for treatment, but systemic factors are difficult to treat at the dentist's office, and the use of night guard is a symptomatic treatment.
The night guard is to wear the mouthpiece at night and while sleeping, and even if there is bruxism or clenching, the mouthpiece acts as a cushion to reduce damage to individual teeth.
So how do you discover bruxism?
The "snoring" and "bruxism" that make noise, which I mentioned earlier, may be pointed out and discovered by family members, but they cannot be seen all night long.
Also, people living alone do not know how they are sleeping.
In such a case, an app with a recorder function that can check snoring and bruxism at bedtime will help you!
