Ratings and reviews

Notifications have been broken since an update several weeks ago. Tapping on a notification only takes you to the actual story if the app has been fully stopped. Any other state, like the app is in the background, and the notification just dumps you into the page you had open, whether that's an unrelated story or the homepage. Also, the app is not pulling the latest stories when opening, ever. You have to manually refresh the home screen or the same stories will stay seemingly forever.

Had to knock a star off after the latest update. The user interface is inferior to the previous version. It's like an amalgamation of mobile app and desktop web-based versions, but doesn't rise to the ability of either. Worse, the app is prone to crashing, and I'm considering removing another star if that issue isn't resolved soon. 8/24/24: The issues haven't gotten any better, so I'm knocking this down to three stars.

Edit: Back up to five stars after my concerns were addressed. Thanks dev team! Used to five stars. Now it's two. Recent update is a big downgrade for user experience. I click alerts and the story doesn't load. I have to refresh it myself when I open it. There is no share link in my Android app. I tried to write the devs directly and the email is bounced back.
