App worked great until WAPO made changes. The screen is way too sensitive and forces jumps to different articles. It also updates articles when your using it. Many times I see multiple opinion pieces that l want to read only to have them disappear before l get to read them because of the auto updates.
Good app. Has some minor bugs, e.g. pages will sometimes fail to scroll past a certain point. And some features are missing, e.g. interactive web page features don't show up correctly. But it does it's job well most of the time.
I receive the paper copy of WP and am on automatic renewal. This entitles me to the mobile app. However, each time renewal occurs I am unable to access the app. It says that I need a new subscription. I have called about this, but did not get a satsfactory resolution to the problem. It is disappointing
Great news content, but terrible integration between the app and its associated Android widget. If you open stories via the Android widget, you can't then open another article via the widget unless you close the first article. Also if an article is opened via the widget, you cannot get to the paper's homepage after accessing that article via the widget. Developers need to make it so that if you access stories via the widget, then, users should be able to easily navigate to the homepage, other articles and other sections.
Fake 5 star reviews, blocked content, huge ads. 99 percent of the reviews of this app are uncommented 5 star reviews. Shame WaPo has resorted to depending on fake reviews. Giant ads blocks every article. I'm not paying $10 per month for something I can't even try for free. Jeff Bezos is a greedy fukface.
Great content, but app is clunky. I can't touch the screen to scroll down to read more of an article without the article swiftly moving to the next article. So frustrating, it makes me not want to bother.
