About this app

TEFview for Android is a free app for your Android smartphone or tablet that allows you to view, print and play scores created in TablEdit tablature editor.

TEFview also allows you to view, print and listen to ASCII tablatures, .ABC tunes, MIDI, PowerTab, TabRite, GuitarPro and musicXML files.

TEFview supports both tablature and standard notation.

TEFview plays the songs at any speed with real time sound control (volume, balance, MIDI instrument). Loop sections of songs, or even entire songs so that you can get the most out of your practice time.

TEFview creates high quality PDF output of tablature and/or musical staves.

Love the app, absolutely amazing with what it does and also being free makes it insanely useful for any inspiring musician! However, recently I encountered an issue where i get an "unable to open:[File_name] permission is denied" error. I was thinking it may have to do with my s22 ultra permission settings, however, it seems the app doesn't ask for any so that doesn't seem to be an issue. Any idea what the problem could be anyone?

Where was this file? On recent versions of Android, you can't directly access shared directories like Downloads with the integrated file explorer. However, you should be able to open the file using the "Import" button.

This is the best app for learning songs. I've used this app for over 20 years, and can always find new tunes.

Horrible right now. I am using a galaxy Note 9 and all I every see when a file loads is a full page of whole rests. I have tried multiple TEF files from Banjo Hangout with no luck. if this could be fixed I would buy the full version. But without a way to test it out I don't think I will use it again. update. I got the app to work but had to switch mobile browsers. it doesn't seem to work with Chrome on a note 9. It will work with the Samsung browser though. would give it 5 stars if not for this

Maybe the problem is the browser. Try downloading the file instead of opening it directly from the web page.
