About this app

With the increase in the number of accidents and sudden illness increases the need for the provision of first aid. Due to various reasons, people first aid in an accident often fail to provide, resulting in major health complications injured or sick persons. The results of several studies suggest that the problem is related mainly to the lack of knowledge on the proper provision of first aid. On the other hand, adequate first aid shown to reduce the number and duration of hospitalizations, contributes to more effective treatment, improved recovery, better quality of life after injury or illness, as well as long-term positive impact on the health care budget, reducing the environmental burden and increasing overall well-being of the population.

Mobile application first aid cover two coordinated set of educational and information content:
• Support for effective first aid in case of injury and the most common sudden illnesses.
• Increase the level of knowledge of first aid in the general population (getting adequate doctrinal guidance on first aid, grading, restoration / consolidation of knowledge, facilitating learning first aid, reducing the bias against providing first aid, promote solidarity and awareness of the importance of helping our fellow man in need).

Professional content applications based on the guidelines of the European Reference Centre for First Aid and Expert Centre for First Aid Red Cross of Slovenia. This is the text, image and video display core content and tips on first aid, for both the general public as well as various groups and organizations (schools, labor organizations, associations, teams, first aid ...).

As part of the application development expertise we have developed together with the contents of the Slovenian Red Cross, University Medical Centre (UMC) Ljubljana, University of Ljubljana - Faculty of Health and the University of Maribor - Faculty of Organizational Sciences - Laboratory of ergonomics.
